Which
is its history?
With a long history of pioneers, Villa La Angostura was officially founded in 1932. Later, the Capital of the Lakes Department was transferred from the Nahuel Huapi spot to Villa La Angostura.
Some years later, there was a division of plots in the area known as “El Cruce” which is located in the crossing of the route with the local road of “La Villa" and three kilometers from there.
For various city-planning and social reasons, the area "el Cruce" grew spontaneously at a much more accelerated rate that "La Villa" itself, and it is currently the administrative and commercial center, reason why “La Villa” was left as a residential and harbor zone.
